Winter Weather Cancellations
Recognizing that East Bay is not only in the Snowbelt but also prone to lake effect snow, we often have hazardous conditions in winter. While we love meeting together regularly to build one another up in the faith, we want to avoid endangering one another by expecting attendance at regular meetings during hazardous conditions.
Below are the general guidelines of our cancellation policy. If you have any questions about how we make decisions regarding cancellations, please reach out to Pastor Kit.

General guidelines

Website home page

Weekdays: If TCAPS calls off school for the day, then EBCC will also call off our daytime activities (for example: Hearts for God Bible study).
Week nights and weekends: As a general rule, if the National Weather Service issues a Winter Storm Warning, Ice Storm Warning, or Blizzard Warning for Traverse City/Grand Traverse County during the hours when we expect the church to gather, we are very likely — though not certain – to cancel our service and activities.
These guidelines are meant to give you an idea of what to expect, but always check the communication avenues above or confirm with the church office if you believe your event may be cancelled.
