Dr. John Strubhar has been involved in turn-a-round ministries for 50 years in Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, California and Florida, and currently serves with Interim Pastor Ministries. He is also a published author, having written and co-authored multiple books.
When not serving in an interim position, Dr. Strubhar and his wife, Sandy, reside in Buckeye, AZ. They have three children, eleven grandchildren, and one great grandson.
Sheldon Reist

Sheldon and his wife, Jenny, moved to Traverse City in 1991 when Sheldon answered the call to serve at East Bay as associate pastor. They have been faithfully devoted to the ministry since then.
Sheldon and Jenny have three daughters and two grandchildren. In his free time, Sheldon enjoys hiking, biking, backpacking, and spending time with family.

Michelle and her husband, Don, live in Elk Rapids and began attending East Bay in 2014. She and Don have two boys and enjoy boating, fishing, and spending time with family.
Sarah Fishel
Children's Ministry Director

Sarah and her husband, Mike, have lived in Traverse City since 2015 and have attended East Bay since that time. Sarah has been on staff working with children's ministry since 2018. She and Mike have three children, and their family loves to camp, hike, and explore Northern Michigan.
Bethany Pereira

Bethany has called East Bay her home since she began attending as a child with her family in 2008. She met her husband, Jonathan, at East Bay, and the couple lives in Traverse City. Bethany enjoys painting, exploring the outdoors, and weightlifting with her husband when she isn’t working at the yak ranch that she runs with her family.

Margee and her husband, Sam, have been a part of East Bay since 2018. When not serving at East Bay, they enjoy going out on the lake in their sailboat, and Margee loves decorating her home, sewing, and crocheting.
Maddie Harcey

Maddie has lived in Traverse City and attended East Bay since 2015. She met her husband, Ezekiel, here, and they enjoy hiking, watching football, and spending time with family.

Ken was born and raised in Flint, MI, and worked for an IBM research center in New York before retiring to Traverse City with his wife, Gail, in 2005.

Jim and Melinda have been married for 40 years and have attended East Bay since 2005. They enjoy the outdoors, hiking, cross country skiing and the beach, but love taking care of their grandkids most.
