Pastor Kit began serving as our Lead Pastor at EBCC in August 2024. He studied at Moody Bible Institute and Dallas Theological Seminary and served in pastoral roles in Indiana and the UP before coming to TC. He and his wife Brooke got married in 2009, and they love their three kids, Caroline, Jack, and Lucy!

Outside of work, Pastor Kit enjoys playing guitar and singing. He keeps jelly beans and M&Ms in his office to share with kids who visit––or with whoever needs an extra boost in their day! He's also a language nerd, keeping his Duolingo streak alive with Spanish, Czech, and others.

Sheldon Reist

Sheldon and his wife, Jenny, moved to Traverse City in 1991 when Sheldon answered the call to serve at East Bay as associate pastor. They have been faithfully devoted to the ministry since then.

Sheldon and Jenny have three daughters and two grandchildren. In his free time, Sheldon enjoys hiking, biking, backpacking, and spending time with family.

Austin Macnamara

Austin and his wife, Alisha, began attending East Bay in March of 2026. Through God's grace, lovingness and kindness, Austin graduated from Cedarville University, where he studied cultural apologetics, ministry, and theology.

Austin and Alisha have been married for 7 years and have two boys, and a baby on the way. In their free time they enjoy renovating homes, hiking, and traveling together as a family.
