Join us on Sundays at 9 am.

Equip 2.0 courses are an intentional set of classes designed to ground the believer in the Christian life. Courses cover a wide range of topics – from basic Bible knowledge to deeper theology, from prayer to interacting with those who believe differently than you. Our desire is that each course will empower you to love God, love others, and make Jesus known.

When, where, & who?

Equip classes take place on Sundays from 9–10 am, in a variety of classrooms on the lower level of the church building. We offer nursery, preschool and kids classes through 6th grade, and a variety of classes for teens and adults.

How does it work?

We’ve created six intentional categories for courses, taken from our six core values:

Establish believers in the faith

Exalt our Savior

Empower lives through prayer

Extend hope

Engage in grace-filled community

Equip believers for ministry

Check out the self guided Course Map to learn more about how we categorize courses and how you can set personal goals for learning!

What about the Core Course?

Our Core Course is a 12-week course that explores what we believe at East Bay and why belonging to a local church is important. It's also a prerequisite for membership. If you're interested in getting involved at East Bay, we recommend taking this course! It's always available (except in December) and restarts at the beginning of each quarter. Download the current course brochure at the top of the page to find which room the class is currently in.

Why 2.0?

We've had Equip classes for some time now, but we're looking at it with fresh eyes this year. We want to be intentional about the types of courses we offer you, which is why we’ve mapped out a larger plan for the courses we plan to offer over the next couple of years. They each fall into categories that span many areas of the Christian life, and we even offer certifications to motivate you towards committing to a learning path and applying what you’ve learned in your courses!
